A recent article in the New York Times highlights scientists’ consensus that global warming is changing the way major storms behave in 5 significant ways:

1) Expanding zones where hurricanes form and
2) producing more powerful hurricanes that are
3) slower-moving,
4) intensive more rapidly and
5) bring heavier rain

This inevitably leads to more widespread and worsening coastal flooding, with more frequent and significant repercussions for communities nationwide.
