In light of the evolving situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus), following the CDC’s latest guidelines to cancel or postpone gatherings of 10 or more people, we will be transitioning the Annual Meeting to a fully virtual event.
We also considered postponing or cancelling the meeting altogether, but decided to move ahead with it on the basis of two compelling arguments:
- As it is hard to predict when we’ll be able to meet again in person, the virtual approach allows us to stay on target with setting goals and priorities for the year, while practicing physical distancing recommended by leading health authorities;
- What we learn now can be very useful for how we convene in the future, especially as severe weather becomes more and more a reality and our wish to limit our carbon impact increases.
To allow all Exchange members who wish to participate ample time to plan and to optimize attendance despite the unpredictable circumstances, we are extending the registration deadline to April 1st, 2020.
