2 Exchange Members – KC Water and Tucson Water – Among 2021 US Water Prize Winners Recognized at Special Virtual Gathering on Sept 23rd!

Two Exchange members – Tucson Water and KC Water – were among this year’s class of US Water Prize winners, recognized at a special virtual celebration on Thursday, September 23rd. KC Water was recognized for their Green Stewards Program – a workforce development program that supports the maintenance and monitoring of green infrastructure across the city. Tucson Water was commended for  ensuring the city of Tucson, AZ is an independent sustainable desert community for generations to come, by undertaking three One Water projects over the past 2 years that “advance the goal of effectively managing Tucson’s multiple water resources.” 

The US Water Prize, awarded every year, celebrates outstanding achievements in advancing sustainable, integrated, and inclusive solutions to water challenges in our nation. It is the preeminent national recognition program for exemplary efforts to secure a One Water future for all.
