2023 Sponsorship Package
Our sponsorship program is rooted in the reality that we cannot achieve our mission of equitable GSI implementation in the public sector without the support of cross-sector partners. In the words of Peter Plastrik:
“[s]ocial innovators … should build relationships in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors and support leaders and staff in developing ‘cross-sector fluency’ so they can serve as ‘bridgers’ who knit together systems and collaborations.” (P. Plastrik, et. al. Connect>Innovate>Scale Up: How Networks Create Systems Change (2022), p. 153).
OUR WORK, MEMBERS, AND VALUES
The Green Infrastructure Leadership Exchange (“the Exchange”) seeks to activate local governments and water agencies in the US & Canada to equitably implement green stormwater infrastructure (GSI). It does so by: (1) building the leadership skills of agency leaders; (2) offering programs that support the implementation of GSI; and (3) making the case for GSI, supportive policies, and funding.
The Exchange has 60 institutional and 359 individual members from local governments in the U.S. and Canada at present. These members value connection, inspiration, collaboration, leadership, community, equity, and innovation. These values are evidenced in the Exchange’s theory of change, described above, its organization as a transformational impact network, its commitment to programs such as peer learning, adaptive leadership training, and collaborative grants, and in the products, like the Equity Guide, and the GSI Library, that it has produced.
These values also drive our approach to sponsorship. We’re looking for a modest number of current and potential partners who want to connect, collaborate and learn with us side-by-side, rather than a sea of vendors who are walled off behind their tables from the real action and who possess varying degrees of interest in the things we care about the most.
