Dear members and friends of the Exchange,
I am thrilled to join the GI Leadership Exchange team as the Program Manager. Working in underserved communities in my previous positions ignited my passion for accessible resources and environmental justice, which align with the mission of the Exchange.
Originally from North Carolina, I received a B.S. in Biology from East Carolina University. During my undergraduate internship, I was bitten by the “teaching bug” and have spent the last eight years developing environmental education programs at various institutions for K-12 students, teachers and administrators. My roles have been spread throughout the southeastern U.S. and have now landed me in the metro-Atlanta area. This next phase of my career is being an example to those thousands of students that GREEN careers can be diverse, fulfilling, and impactful in every industry.
I’m currently obsessed with my fur babies, Spec and Daisy, who boss me around relentlessly. Our favorite activity is visiting different green spaces for them to explore. I’m excited to learn from our members and the spaces you all are working to transform. I look forward to serving this community and being an asset to the GILE team.
