The City of Portland recently released the latest versions of its Stormwater Management Manual (SWMM) and Source Control Manual (SCM). The Bureau of Environmental Services would like to thank the Exchange community for the input received from its members via multiple workgroups, forums, and direct conversations. The contributions from Exchange peers were especially helpful in informing the following topics covered under the SWMM:
- Bioretention underdrain configurations
- Bioretention orifice controls
- Escape routes for stormwater facilities
- Trees in bioretention facilities
- Public safety protections around bioretention
- Infiltration tests
