Strong networks gather, ideally in person. That’s why the Exchange hosts an annual, in-person meeting, which, this year is in Raleigh, North Carolina, May 4-7. We are thankful to Exchange Member City of Raleigh for agreeing to serve as our host organization and to its Stormwater Plan Review Supervisor and GSI Advocate, Sally Hoyt, for serving as Chair of our Annual Meeting Committee.
Many people say this is the best conference they attend all year, largely because of the diverse opportunities it provides for networking among cross-sector GSI professionals, site tours, and learning sessions, all focused on green stormwater infrastructure (GSI). Registration is currently open to Exchange members and sponsors. In mid-February, we will open membership to non-members.
This year, there is no limit on the numbers of attendees that member organizations can send to the meeting. In addition, member attendees will be fully responsible for their travel and lodging costs and payment of a $500 member registration fee. Before registering, members are encouraged to consult with the Exchange member designated as their organization’s Primary Member. You can learn more about the costs of attendance, registration, and the meeting program here.
Another difference this year is that their are two distinct types of sponsorship. One of these, open only to members, provides opportunities to support member scholarships and receive other marketing benefits throughout the year. A second type, open to both members and nonmembers, provides opportunities to attend the meeting and receive other marketing benefits throughout the year. You can learn more about these sponsorship opportunities here.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our Program Manager, Nina Baldwin at nina@giexchange.org. We look forward to seeing you at our rally in Raleigh this May!
