Please join us in welcoming the first Hawaii-based member, 3Rwater, to the Exchange! Founded by Lauren Roth Venu, 3Rwater supports cities and communities in scaling green stormwater infrastructure by advancing innovative, data-driven approaches to water management and climate resilience. Through the development and deployment of the Follow the Drop app, the organization enables real-time data collection and long-term tracking of environmental and community benefits from GSI projects. By putting this data in the palm of users’ hands, the tool supports real-time, informed site decisions and helps watershed partners tailor green infrastructure solutions to the needs of local businesses and homeowners.
3Rwater is currently supporting a new initiative in Michigan’s Lower Grand River Watershed, developing community-based green infrastructure mapping tools in collaboration with partners including American Rivers, the Lower Grand River Organization of Watersheds, and Grand Valley State University. Looking ahead, the organization is excited about the growing role of nature-based solutions, Indigenous knowledge, and digital tools in building climate resilience. By combining data, technology, and cross-sector collaboration, 3Rwater is helping communities better prepare for and respond to challenges like flooding, drought, and water quality—while expanding access to sustainable infrastructure solutions. Join the Exchange to learn more about 3Rwater’s initiatives and tools.
