On behalf of the Exchange’s Board of Directors, it gives me great pleasure to announce that April Mendez, CEO of Greenprint Partners, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the board. She fills one of five vacant seats on the 15-member board created when the Exchange formed a nonprofit corporation in July 2025. The Exchange subsequently achieved tax exempt status in January 2026 and separated from its long-time fiscal sponsor, Global Philanthropy Partnership, this past June.
Greenprint has partnered with the Exchange on several important projects, including, but certainly not limited to, the Equity Guide for Green Stormwater Infrastructure Practitioners, the State of Public Sector GSI Report, and, more recently, the Framework of GSI Practice. As co-founder and CEO of Greenprint, April brings deep expertise in Community-Based Public-Private Partnership (CBP3), program design, financial structuring, and leveraging private and philanthropic capital to accelerate green stormwater infrastructure delivery. She has led the development of innovative financing strategies for municipal stormwater programs, securing investments from CDFIs, family offices, and foundations, and designing performance-based contracts that align with equity and climate resilience goals.
April holds a B.A. in Psychology from Carleton College and has completed coursework in social entrepreneurship toward an M.B.A. degree at Northwestern University. She lives in Minneapolis, where she sings in several choirs during her spare time. I encourage members to reach out and congratulate April through the member portal.
