The Exchange is thrilled to welcome MHFD to membership! Candice Owens serves as Stormwater Quality Manager for the District and leads a team supporting the goals of creating valuable and regionally used water quality design criteria rooted in regional research, partnering on various water quality-related projects, and providing resources and compliance support to local MS4s and design community.
MHFD is joining the Exchange in hopes to keep a pulse on what is happening nationally with green infrastructure and to network with peer organizations on water quality topics. MHFD recently updated their Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual (USDCM) Volume 3 Chapter 4 – SCM Treatment, which details how to design stormwater control measures in the Greater Denver region. Enriched by over 1,000 comments from local governments, designers, and vendors, this update introduces a new bioretention media mix and a fact sheet for receiving pervious areas.
Candice’s plans to continue supporting local governments with initiatives like a regional street sweeping study and updates to additional USDCM chapters, including SCM maintenance. Join us in membership to continue fostering this collaboaration and driving meaningful change in water quality and green infrastructure!
