The Exchange is excited to welcome Kennedy Moore and the Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans to the Exchange network! As the EPA Urban Waters Federal Partnership (UWFP) Ambassador for the Lake Pontchartrain watershed, Kennedy serves as a liaison between federal agencies including the EPA, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and US Geological Survey and the many stakeholders working to protect and restore the watershed. Her work focuses on connecting communities to resources, learning networks, and local initiatives, with the goal of strengthening collaboration and fostering opportunities for sharing knowledge and support across the region.
Kennedy also serves on the Southeast Louisiana Adaptation Forum’s organizing committee, which brings together sector leaders to strengthen resilience around stormwater and flood management. Through this collaboration, the committee has convened green infrastructure leaders across southeast Louisiana, creating space for local government, community organizations, and regional planning bodies to align on stakeholder needs. Looking ahead, UWFP will build on this momentum by collecting data on stakeholder priorities and hosting its first semi annual all hands meeting of the year. This event will offer workshops and collaboration opportunities for sector leaders across the Lake Pontchartrain watershed, ensuring future projects are designed to directly address community needs. To keep up with these initiatives, please check out our membership options to connect with Kennedy and several others!
