This past July, a total of fourteen members participated in focus groups to share candid feedback about their experience with the Exchange: what’s working, what could be better, and where they see opportunities for growth. That conversation was just the start. Now it’s your turn…
This week, we’re launching the member survey, and we want to hear from as many of you as possible. The focus groups surfaced valuable insights — from how members experience the power of peer connection to ideas for improving our online platform and communications — but a handful of conversations can only tell us so much. The survey is how we make sure the full membership’s perspective shapes what comes next.
“Author David Edelman makes the important point that social impact networks like ours ‘can’t be controlled, but they can be oriented toward a shared purpose,'” notes Barbara Hopkins, Executive Director of the Exchange. “Edelman points out that this is ‘fundamentally important to staying coherent even as a network grows.’ Ensuring that we all agree on that shared purpose, therefore, is fundamental to the sustainability of our network and a major reason I hope all members will take the time to complete the member survey.”
“Questions were constructed using established survey design methods, and responses will be analyzed this fall,” notes survey creator, Dr. Lauren Mullenbach, of People & Planet Consulting. “We know your time is valuable, so we’ve kept the survey focused and quick to complete.”
