Please join us in welcoming the City of Minneapolis to the Exchange! Justin Reynolds serves as the Green Infrastructure Coordinator in the Surface Water & Sewers Division of Minneapolis Public Works, where he leads the development of green stormwater infrastructure program standards and coordinates implementation across street reconstruction projects. Justin joined the Exchange to connect with peers, share GSI challenges and successes, and learn how communities across the country are advancing green infrastructure through innovative projects and design standards. One of their recent accomplishments includes a Downtown East rain garden retrofit that increased stormwater capture while engaging the community through a volunteer planting event. The project also highlights meaningful partnerships with Red Lake Nation College to incorporate culturally significant plants and with University of Minnesota students to monitor water quality.
Looking ahead, Justin is excited to help advance the City’s Landscape Design Guide and GSI Standard Details, strengthening Minneapolis’ approach to sustainable stormwater management. We look forward to Justin’s contributions and invite you to join the Exchange to learn how these developments enhance GSI in Minneapolis.
